Story of Thai Naga Dragon/Serpent :
-Traditions about Nagas are also very common in all the Buddhist countries of Asia. In many countries, the Naga concept has been merged with local traditions of great and wise serpents or dragons.

-The Buddhist Naga generally has the form of a great cobra, usually with a single head but sometimes with many. At least some of the Nagas are capable of using magic powers to transform themselves into a human form. In Buddhist paintings, the Naga is sometimes portrayed as a human being with a snake or dragon extending over his head.

-One Naga, in human form, attempted to become a monk; when telling him that such ordination was impossible, the Buddha told him how to ensure that it would be reborn a human, then he would be able to become a monk.

Story of Special Mekong River (Naga Stone):

-Stone of Mekong River has a colorful and beautiful pattern. It has various shapes which depend on the time of year when the River flows. Many different colors such as green emerald, light green, red, black, brown, blue, white, gray and some are a dark and polished color.. Within the texture of stone are unique designs. Some stones have perfect arc shapes because the contortion is made by the erosion of Mekong River. It is hard to believe that nature can make stones to be dimension pattern which have been washed out by the river for a long time.

-Especially, stone of the Mekong River located in the middle of stream, is regarded as the magic stones of the underwater city due to many Nagas that have given them for good fortune. Therefore, these special stones are also known as Naga Stones which is a holy stone to be respected.

In the past, the method of acquirement must rely on the used
and magic to make an offering to the Nagas in order to bring their supernatural essence up and it is very hard to do this.
