This type of jadeite occurs naturally in only small amounts throughout the host material

This type of omphacite-jadeite jade occurs in only thin veins of translucent, extremely dark green crystalized material that is also mostly free of inclusions and considered to be of 'gem' quality which makes it one of the rarest and most elusive gemstones on the planet.

Background :
Far rarer than both diamonds and rubies is that of Burmese Translucent Imperial Black Omphacite Jadeite Jade. Only a fraction of the jadeite found in Myanmar is black of which only about 5% is of a fine enough texture that it could be made into jewelry (cabochons). Of that 5% of jewelry quality black jadeite found in Myanmar, only about 1% is translucent in nature and will turn a brilliant imperial green when put under a transmitted light source.

Considered extremely rare in the current world market, Burmese Imperial Translucent Black Omphacite-Jadeite Jade is a unique stone to possess. It is said that this type of Jadeite takes at least 3 times longer to form (300 million years) than jadeite of other colors making the presence of this stone very limited, only found randomly in small amounts.

Meaning & User :
Black Jadeite is an etheric bodyguard and a stone of protection. Its strong elemental energy shields not only the physical body, but guards against negative forces or entities, energy vampires and people projecting anger and aggression.

It defends against morphogenic fields of negative energy, such as the fear and violence projected through the media, and is particularly helpful in times of war or world crisis.

For many people Imperial Translucent Black Omphasite Jadeite Jade symbolizes the power of protection.

Regardless of the market value of Jadeite the true value comes from within the person who wears it.
