The only known place for this material is in the mountains of Kachin State, Myanmar. This unique material appears a shiny true black while under overhead lights/daylight and a brilliant emerald green when placed over a transmitted light source.

How Rare is Imperial Translucent Black Omphacite Jadeite Jade?

Far rarer than both diamonds and rubies is that of Imperial Translucent Black Omphacite Jadeite Jade.
